341 •(B.F. GOODRICH COMPANY) An engineer's album with 37 photographs documenting the expansion and construction of the B.F. Goodrich plant in Akron, Ohio, including views of the historic smoke stacks.
The photographs document the construction of "Building 9-X" from the foundation to near completion, with chronological construction views and interior scenes showing barrels and packages of what are presumed to be raw materials. Silver prints, the images measuring 9½x7½ inches (24.1x19.1 cm.), some slightly smaller, and the reverse, linen-backed, and most with notations or dates in the negative. Oblong 4to, brown paper covers, with an engineer's typed label affixed to recto; triple-pin binding. 1919-20
