A mini-archive of more than 300 photographs from the pioneering NBC television station WNBQ in Chicago, Illinois.
Including set shots from numerous shows and depicting a plethora of personalities, many displaying the sound stage or filming equipment, all carefully and elegantly composed and richly printed. Also including approximately 40 duplicate photographic holiday cards from the station. Silver prints, most of the images measuring approximately 3x4 inches (7.6x10.2 cm.), or slightly larger or smaller, the sheets slightly larger, approximately 20 with a Chicago photographer's hand stamp, 20 others with the name of a show or figure (The Bennetts filmed in Chicago 1953, Curtain Time, Frankie Avalon, the show Hawkins Falls, Phil Foster, Wayne King, and more), and 10 more with both the hand stamp and a notation, in pencil or in ink, on verso. 1950s-60s
