A suite of 15 hand-tinted photographs by Devere Helfrich, the renowned rodeo photographer, depicting cowboys on bucking bulls and broncos.
The graphic action shots show riders (and animals) at close range, in a number of twisted and contorted poses as they cling on for dear life. Hand-tinted silver prints, the images measuring 11x14 inches (27.9x35.6 cm.), nearly all with DeVere's signature and caption identifying the rider and animal, in ink, on recto, and most with a DeVere Helfrich hand stamp on verso. 1940s
