(LAND SURVEYING--BROOKLYN) A contemporary binder containing 33 photographs relating to surveys for the Prospect Expressway, in the Windsor Terrace and Greenwood neighborhoods of Brooklyn, New York.
With various street scenes of downtown Brooklyn neighborhoods, some desolate, and others complete with storefronts, automobiles, gas stations, and an abundance of period signage. Many of the photographs include a surveyor's board displaying numeric notations in white chalk, and some with a surveyor standing by. Silver prints, the images measuring 8x10 inches (20.3x25.4 cm.), and the reverse, nearly all with notations in the negative identifying the location, date, and surveying information, and some with notations, in pencil, on verso. 1928-50; printed 1970s
