A binder with 22 photographs by Peter A. Juley documenting book production and publishing at Harper & Brothers' company offices in New York City.
With images of a large number of employees performing various tasks such as collating, typesetting, inking plates, printing, typing, writing, and photographing. Also pictured are exterior views of the building including the loading docks, street view, and entrance. Silver prints, the images measuring approximately 9 1/2x7 1/2 inches (24.1x19.1 cm.), and the reverse, each with a Juley hand stamp, and some with reproduction notations, in pencil, on verso; 2 of the photos with an editor's reproduction marks, in white ink, on recto. 1922
