(NEW YORK--WATER SUPPLY) Album with 87 professional photographs depicting construction of the Ashokan reservoir, which supplies water to New York City.
With multiple views of excavation machinery, compressors, special aqueduct and screen chamber, the spillway, tunnels, and picturesque scenes of local buildings, including the railroad depot, Ashokan National Bank, and more. Silver prints, the images measuring 3x4 1/2 to 4 1/2x 6 1/2 inches (7.6x11.4 to 11.4x16.5 cm.), and the reverse, the sheets slightly larger, mounted recto/verso, most of the prints with a caption in the negative. Oblong 4to, cloth, worn; a few leaves detached. Circa 1915
