(SPELUNKING--COLOSSAL CAVERN, KY) A professional photographer's album with over 60 photographs depicting the interior of Colossal Cavern, Kentucky. With spooky and well-lit scenes of the cavernous interior exhibiting vast dripping stalactites, towering stalagmites and other abstract rock formations, as well as views of man-made structures within the cavern. Also included are group portraits of the photographers, guides, and discoverers posing underground and at the entrance to the caves. Silver prints, the images each measuring approximately 8x10 inches (20.3x25.4 cm.), and the reverse, linen backed, each with the photographer's hand stamp, and nearly all with notations indentifying the specific locations and formations, in pencil, on verso. Oblong 4to, black leatherette with a twin-bolt binding. Circa 1910
