(PORT OF CALLAO, PERU) A confidential dossier with 45 photographs, including a 3-part panorama of port congestion and cargo damage in the Lima, Peru harbor.
With photographs illustrating the potential hazards of shipping cargo through the Port of Callao, including bulk grain losses, the crowded conditions behind the main piers, and potentially dangerous cargo being stored in the open. Ferrotyped silver prints, including a panorama comprised of 3 panels measuring 6 5/8 x28 inches (16.8x71.1 cm.), the images measuring approximately 3¼x4½ inches (8.3x11.4 cm.) and 6¾x9½ inches (17.1x24.1 cm.), the paper mounts 13 3/8 x8 inches (34x20 cm.), each with a handwritten caption, in ink, on mount recto. Small folio-sized brown paper folder with a double-pin fastening, with a Misión Económica y Financiera Confidential hand stamp, and a typed label, with a date stamp, on the front cover. 1952-53
