Signed, titled and inscribed “Ed/60” in pencil, lower margin. A very good impression of this extremely scarce lithograph. McSorley’s Old Ale House claims to be the longest operating tavern in New York, dating back to 1854. It is an East Village institution where the likes of Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Boss Tweed and numerous other famous personalities have visited, as well as John Sloan and many of the Ashcan School artists.
