At the conclusion of an evening that celebrated Kertész’s vernissage at Gallery Au Scare du Printemps
(as well as Michel Seuphor’s and Dermée’s publication of Documents internationaux de l’esprit
nouveau), Kertész gathered his artistic friends together under signage that partially reads “pour artistes.”
At the center is Ida Thal, whose work was on exhibition with Kertész’s; to the right are the architect
Adolf Loos, the painter Piet Mondrian (in spectacles), and critic Michel Seuphor (without a hat).
