state (of 6);White and Boon’s fifth state (of 6). Ex-collection Charles Delanglade (Lugt
660, verso); S. Scheikevitch (Lugt 2264, verso); and unknown collector, indiscernible ink
stamp verso.With narrow margins at the sides, trimmed just inside the plate mark upper
edge and inside the blank lower margin lower edge. A very good, strong and well-inked
impression of this very scarce etching.
We have found only 15 other impressions at auction in the past 25 years. Bartsch 282;
