3), with the distinct dark patches on the mouth and the sole of the foot of the man being
dragged by the ox; Usticke’s second state (of 7);White and Boon’s first state (of 2).With
thread margins or trimmed on the plate mark. A superb, dark impression with strong

The Crucifixion: Small Plate.
Etching, circa 1635. 97x68 mm; 4x2 3/4 inches, narrow to thread margins. Usticke’s first
state (of 2), with the broken line in Christ’s abdomen and with the long diagonal scratch
below the signature. A very good, early impression with the faintly-etched obelisk over
the head of the standing man at the far right distinct, and with crisp plate edges. Bartsch
