tooled to design of concentric double-fillet lozenges incorporating snake, flower, leaf, and
drawer handle tools, spine in 6 compartments, lettered in 2 with title in Greek and floral
tools in the rest, gilt decorated paper endleaves with elaborate pattern of floral sprays, front
joint restored at top and bottom, rear joint starting; minor repairs in blank margin of title,
a3, and last 4 leaves, scattered washed marginalia, few headlines shaved at end. Bookplate
and embossed stamp of Giannalisa Feltrinelli.
