Ca. 1930 Long Island #36 “turquoise” (blue and bronze) marbled celluloid fountain pen
and mechanical pencil set with two gold-filled bands at cap bottom. Each excellent, fully restored,
owner imprint (“U.S.S. Kittery”) on barrel, excellent color, crisp imprint, 14K Chilton nib. The
pencil, functional.

Each 5 inches.
The U.S.S. Kittery was originally a German transport ship, “Praesident,” captured in 1917 by the
U.S. Navy, for whom the newly-commissioned transport served until 1933.
