Zorach (1887-1966) worked as both a sculptor and watercolorist at the vanguard of
American modernism, after studying in Paris in the early 1910s and his inclusion in the
famous Armory Show of 1913. Zorach and his wife, fellow artist Marguerite Thompson,
purchased a farm on Georgetown Island, Maine, and split their time between their farm
and NewYork home.
