image; hand-signed in pencil by the artist. Paper.
Key was a prolific Belgian designer after the
Second World War. His is often compared with
Savignac for his visual gags, and indeed his
posters have a graphic simplicity and a charm
that often provokes smiles, such as this image
which cleverly connects the Martini Logo with
a bunch of grapes, the aperitif ’s main ingredi-
ent.
